He was talking about success, and how to obtain success, there are lots of opportunity in life that you can be successful, your passion, work, sports, arts and a like. The only constant in life is change, I always here this phrases either during interviews or during performance reviews. As humans we aim for improvement in every aspect in our lives, this is also true in our career. You can’t be doing the same things over and over again until you retire and collect a pension. So while you are young you need to invest in certain skills to improve your positioning in your company. After all nobody wants to be cranking up the wheel until they are 60.

Sorry for the long wait, I actually lost my job due to my previous company shutting down. Probably I should also make a list on how to detect 'losing' companies so you don't sink with the ship. The truth was, I already got offers from several companies before my previous company runs out of funds, the reason I stayed was for a friend who asked me too (my weakness LOL)...
